Terms of use.

These terms set the ground rules for using the Planli app, website and related services. Please use Planli respectfully and share only information you are entitled to share.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These terms are an agreement between you and independent UK developer Jack Cummings, operator of Planli (“Planli”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By downloading, accessing or using Planli, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 to use Planli. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has permitted your use. You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement in your country.

2. Your account

You are responsible for access to the Apple account or email address used to sign in and for activity carried out through your account. Keep one-time codes and private invitation links confidential, provide accurate profile information and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Do not impersonate another person, create an account using an address you do not control, or invite people without a reasonable basis to contact them.

3. Your plans and shared content

You keep ownership of the content you add. You give Planli a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, copy and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service.

People in a shared calendar can see its content and, depending on their access, add, edit or remove plans. Only add content appropriate for every member of that calendar and information you have permission to share. Planli is not responsible for what another member does with information you choose to share with them.

You are responsible for backing up information that is important to you. Planli is a planning aid, not an emergency, medical, travel, legal or safety service.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use Planli for unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, abusive or harmful activity;
  • upload content that infringes another person’s rights or privacy;
  • send spam, misuse invitations or harass another person;
  • attempt to access another account, calendar, system or data without permission;
  • reverse engineer, probe, scrape, overload or disrupt the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • introduce malware or bypass security, rate limits or access controls; or
  • use Planli to build or train a competing service without written permission.

We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse or maintain the service.

5. Third-party and Apple services

Planli works with services supplied by Apple and other providers, including calendars, maps, weather, places, email and cloud hosting. Those services may be delayed, unavailable or subject to separate terms. Planli does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their independent acts or content.

Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s App Store terms. Apple is not responsible for Planli or for providing maintenance and support for Planli, except to the extent required by applicable App Store terms or law.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Planli reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Calendar syncing, weather, places, email and notifications can occasionally be delayed or unavailable. Always confirm time-sensitive or important arrangements directly with the people involved.

We may change, add or remove features, update device requirements or discontinue the service. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of a material change that negatively affects active users.

7. Intellectual property

Planli’s app, website, software, visual design, logos, branding and other materials—excluding your content and third-party materials—belong to us and are protected by intellectual-property law. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use Planli for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership to you.

8. Responsibility and liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to that, Planli is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, loss caused by third-party services, decisions made using suggestions, or a failure to confirm important arrangements. If you use Planli as a consumer, we provide the service with reasonable care and skill and your statutory rights remain unaffected.

9. Ending use and account deletion

You can stop using Planli and sign out at any time. You can permanently delete your account in the app from Me → Planli account → Delete account. Deletion removes your cloud account, owned shared calendars and cloud plans you created, and clears Planli’s local data from that iPhone. It does not delete calendars or events held in Apple’s Calendar app.

We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, create a security risk, harm other users or if we are required by law. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a chance to resolve the issue.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain the benefit of mandatory protections in the country where you live and may bring a claim in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in Planli, law or security. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where a change is material. Continuing to use Planli after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.
